Pom-Pom Zombies ~ Book, and Music by Stephen Murray

        March 19 -21, 2010

See some out takes from a recent rehearsal!

Storyline:

It's the 1960s, a big nuclear blast to the past! School's out for the summer, and the teenagers of Ocean View High are ready to surf, sun and have some fun. Their favorite hangout is Barnacle Betty's Beach Club, which happens to be right next door to the evil Ivana Ratnik's nuclear power plant. But, ooops! Cindy Sue, the head cheerleader, accidentally gets some nuclear slime on her hot dog instead of pickle relish, and soon the beach is overrun with pom-pom wielding zombies! Her all-American boyfriend, the beatniks, the nerds and the tough girl gang named the Barracudas rally their forces to save the beach from the atomic attackers. A sci-fi spoof of those beach blanket flicks of the '60s, the score explodes with hilarious hits like "School's Out," "Don't Touch the Hair," "It's Cool to Be a Nerd," "My Girlfriend's Dead (And I'm Gonna Be in Trouble)," "Voo-Doo Shoo-Be-Doo" and the dance craze, "Doin' the Zombie." The cast will have a blast and so will your audiences!

Storyline:

Here is a musical adventure through Cyberspace; a song-filled battle between technology and imagination. The story begins simply in the home of a couple of ordinary kids, but when their babysitters are sucked into a video game, the adventure begins! To rescue their babysitters, the kids must figure out how to get "into the game." Once inside, the kids discover that their babysitters are not the only ones in trouble! An evil sorceress called Chasm is draining all the imagination and color out of Cyberspace and soon there will be nothing left! The kids enlist the aid of the rebellious Space Pirates to stop Chasm, rescue their babysitters, and restore peace and harmony to the universe. In the end, the kids use their imaginations as a weapon to defeat Chasm and finally get themselves back home. Energy-packed songs include "Video Mania," "We're the Pixels," "Borks on Parade," and many others.

Storyline:

Fantasy and reality collide in this eclectic and fun musical romp! Emily's having a sleepover with her best friend Stephanie when they discover there's a monster in her closet! To investigate further (despite the incessant teasing of her big brother and his friends), Emily and Stephanie recruit their friends - sarcastic and skeptical Kelly, vain Mary, studious Brain, tomboy Tara and avid reader Megan - to help capture the monster. What they don't know is that Murray, the closet monster, doesn't mean any harm. He only wants to play Emily's new video game. He's more scared of kids than they are of him! Murray is on probation since his boss, the Dream King, heard about his goofing off on the job. After all, every monster knows that when a child is born, a monster is assigned to watch over her - not play with her things! What happens when Emily has all her friends over for a slumber party to try to capture Murray? They end up catching the Dream King and his harried secretary, Toady, instead! With other wonderfully entertaining characters like Sandy the Sandman and his dream weavers, find out how friendship, ingenuity and a sprinkling of magic lead to a delightful solution to Emily's monster problem.

Cast: Flexible cast of 33,   (Age Range: 8 - 18)
