North Shore Players featured member:
June DeRoin
.jpg)
| June brings a special
warmth to our group, with her ever present smile. June told us several
years ago, that with her children grown and gone, she wanted to get back to
acting, which was something she had enjoyed in high school. She
appeared as the mother in Barefoot in the Park, the Wicked
Witch in Wizard of Oz and the hotel clerk in H'tel
Baltimore. More recently she played the
Grand Duchess Olga Katrina in "You Can't Take
it With You".
In other capacities, she has been on the NSP Board of Directors for several years, where she has served as the membership chair. Currently, she is the editor of our newsletter "Stage Whispers". She has also helped with house duties several times. She thanks everyone for happy times and in her own words: "It was fun doing Wizard of Oz, especially with my granddaughter Candace playing a part in it as well. My granddaughter Dakota was the Mayor's daughter in Music Man. It's nice to be able to share something with a grandchild. We had fun going to rehearsals together." |
